Method & Production

1985 was a regular vintage in terms of climatic conditions and temperatures. The settled weather conditions lasted for the whole harvest period and allowed Borgogno to obtain high quality grapes. In terms of winemaking the 1985 underwent regular fermentation and submerged cap maceration; racking off at the middle of November. The Barolo Riserva 1985 was aged for four years in big Slavonian oak barrels and bottled in September 1989.
