Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato Vegan

  • Montalbera
  • Piemonte, Italy

Method & Production

Grapes are harvested by hand, this is followed by a very careful selection process to ensure the best quality of fruit. Pomace soaking 10-12 days in the must, maturation in stainless steel tanks and subsequently in the bottle for at least 3 months. The Ruché 'La Tradiizone' is the first Vegan wine we have in the Astrum portfolio! The idea came to Franco Morando to produce a Vegan wine (in which the use of any derivative of animal products products which are often used as fining agents are banned) using innovative methods of fertilization without using substances by animal origins. Naturally, both in the packaging and the labeling  at the end of production are also constructed using natural materials and natural glues. It is the first registered Vegan Ruché.

Tasting notes

Pretty ruby-red with slight violet reflections. Wonderfully aromatic nose-intense, persistent, fruity with hints of rose petals and violets and raspeberries. Delicate fresh, elegeant on the palate, with fruits and flowers following through. Pleasing tannins on the finish.

Food matching

Very enjoyable served lightly chilled. Works well as an aperitif, good with antipasti and works well with sashmi, especially tuna.
