Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva

  • Salcheto
  • Toscana, Italy

Method & Production

Vinified through the ancient “Governo Toscano” method with Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile grapes slightly over-ripe by drying, it ages for 24 months in barrels, large and small, and then refines at least 12 months in bottle before release.

Tasting notes

“Salcheto’s 2012 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva offers plenty of depth and intensity in its dark cherry, smoke, scorched earth, leather and licorice flavors. Intense and deep, the 2012 Riserva shows the more virile side of Vino Nobile and the vintage.” 90 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
